Catering FAQs

  • Q:  What are your minimum order requirements?
  • A:  We will delivery for groups of 10 or more.

  • Q:  How far away do you deliver?
  • A:  If your order is over $100, delivery is free within a 15 mile radius.  Orders under $100 incur a $15 Delivery Charge.  Delivery beyond 15 miles are charged according to size of the order and number of additional miles.

  • Q:  What is the best way to contact you with questions or to place an order?
  • A:  You can call the restaurant at 715-582-4962 any time, any day of the week.  We check our voicemails frequently if we do not answer.  Any employee that answers the phone can put you in contact with someone who can assist you.  Additionally, you can use the Contact Us form on the website to e-mail the Owner and Managers.  No matter what, we always do our best to respond within one business day.  We will also be happy to schedule an appointment to meet in person.

  • Q:  Do you require a contract or a deposit?
  • A:  For most full service events over 60 people we require a contract and $100 deposit.  Most "Drop & Go" events over 100 people require the same.  Finally, all weddings, regardless of size, require a contract and deposit.

  • Q:  How much notice do I need to place a cater order?
  • A:  We generally appreciate three full business days' notice for orders.  In the case of an unanticipated event, such as a memorial, we try our best to respond quickly. We can sometimes deliver quicker than that if you are flexible as to menu selections. We believe in constantly bringing in the freshest of foods so we may be limited for selection in an emergency. In the case of a staffed event (for corporate and institutional customers only), we usually require one week's notice.  Please keep in mind that we sometimes book up for a particular day and must stop accepting orders. We always recommend placing your order as soon as you decide to use us to cater your event.

  • Q:  What can I expect when I order from Schussler's Catering?
  • A:  All of our food is prepared fresh to order.  We guarantee that our hot foods are hot and cold foods cold.  If the delivery is a non-staffed "Drop & Go" you will need to think about maintaining temperature for those foods after delivery.  Our philosophy of fresh, healthy food is antithetical to heat-maintained foods.  Our prices are published, and are the same for everyone.  There are no hidden costs.  In all cases, we will make sure you understand clearly what you are getting, and what it costs. Whether you are trying to figure out how much food to order for an open house, birthday party, or wedding reception, we will be attentive to your needs.  Please let us know what you are looking for, and we will do our best to provide helpful information.

  • Q:  Can I change my order once it has been placed?
  • A:  We are usually able to accomodate changes made at least two business days before your event.  Let us know when submitting your order if you anticipate making any adjustments whether it be menu changes or differences in amounts. Please note that we consider all orders final one full business day before the scheduled event date and are not able to make any changes after this time.

  • Q:  How do I pay for my order?
  • A:  We accept cash, checks, and every brand of major credit card (including American Express).  For ongoing corporate and institutional clients, we will bill monthly with accounts setup in advance.

  • Q:  Do you do tasting?
  • A:  Yes, once an event is booked (and the contract is completed, if applicable) with adequate advance notice we can arrange for you to taste items before you decide to order. Because we make everything to order, we cannot provide "drop-in" tasting. In general, we need about a week's notice to schedule a tasting. A tasting is normally scheduled between 5:00 and 8:00 PM, Tuesday through Friday.

  • Q:  Is Gratuity automatically applied to my order?
  • A:  We do not automatically add gratuities to drop-off catering orders.  Staffed and Full Service caterings have a 17% service charge added.  We are often asked if tipping is customary, to which we respond that some customers do and others don't.  The matter is up to you.  Gratuities are shared among all who helped prepare and execute your order.

When it absolutely has to be done right, think of Schussler's.
